Welcome to my blog. I encourage and welcome comments from my readers. I’m open for a healthy debate on the facts or personal opinions. Occasionally, even trolls have valid opinions. I don’t have a lot of rules and the ones listed below all pretty much say the same thing: if you don’t have anything nice to say, then don’t say anything at all. We are all adults herein. Let’s act like it or I will act like a parent and kick you out.
- You have to be logged in to comment. That means you have to register with the site using a valid email address. Without a valid email address, you won’t be able to set up your password, and then you won’t be able to log in. I promise I won’t sell or otherwise distribute your email address. I may use it to send you email, but I will safeguard it from SPAMmers like I safeguard my one. Accounts created but not activated from a verified email address are deleted automatically after 14 days. Please activate your account.
- No flaming the authors or other commentators. Well-thought-out, valid comments are welcome, regardless of whether they differ from mine or mirror mine. If you cannot say anything nice, then don’t say anything at all.
- No name-calling: including libtard, repugnation, fucktard, racial slurs, political slurs, moron, idiot, radical, etc. Offensive language and comments will be deleted without warning. If you insist on acting like a spoiled brat, I will treat you like one and kick you out. This blog software automatically detects many examples of name-calling and will immediately delete your comment automatically.
- If you are a member of the grammar police, please go elsewhere. Please take comments in the spirit intended and ignore poor grammar, poor spelling, or poor typing. People do not need to be able to type well, spell well, or use subjects and verbs correctly to have a valid opinion. Pointing out others’ errors is a condescending act and it’s insulting. I will delete these comments and ban the commentator if the behavior continues.
- Foul language is permitted where it’s not used to denigrate others.
- Links to back up documentation are welcome. But please don’t use the links as a way to send my traffic to your personal or business website, unless it is directly relevant to your comment. Comments with more than 2 links are automatically held for moderation.
- To the extent that you’re not mistreating myself or my readers, I respect your right to free speech and free expression. Please do not abuse those rights.
